History
The company was established as Schaffner EMC in 2002 with a focus on filter contract manufacturing. Following the acquisition of Jacke Transformer in 2006, Schaffner started production of reactors and transformers in Shanghai. Over the years the product portfolio was extended to LV Reactors and transformers and the company moved to the current facility in 2011. This enabled manufacturing of larger custom designed inductive components for customers in demanding industries such as railways rolling stock and renewable energy. In July 2021 the Schaffner Power Magnetic Division was acquired by AQ Group, and AQ Power Magnetics Shanghai Co Ltd was formed.
